REVISION OF DEPUTATION POLICY FOR THE PURPOSE OF HIGHER STUDIES (KPK) — The terms and conditions of the Revised Policy / Criteria of deputation of doctors for Postgraduate courses. The Period of deputation will not be extended beyond the normal period of the course, which should be assessed by Administrative Department before making reference to Finance Department. The doctor not completing their courses in the stipulated period can be given extraordinary leave without pay for another year.

THE KHYBER PAKHTUNKHWA GOVERNMENT SERVANTS (EFFICIENCY AND DISCIPLINE) RULES, 2011 — These shall come into force at once. These shall apply to every person who is a member of the civil service of the Province or is the holder of a civil post in connection with the affairs of the Province and shall also apply to or in relation to a person in temporary employment in the civil service or post in connection with affairs of the Province. Charges means allegations framed against the accused pertaining to acts of omission or commission cognizable under these rules. Inefficiency means failure to efficiently perform functions assigned to a Government servant in the discharge of his duties.

THE PUNJAB REGULARIZATION OF SERVICE ACT, 2018 — Subject to the Act, it shall apply to all the persons employed on contract in a department immediately before the commencement of the Act. Contract Employee means an eligible person appointed on contract in a department immediately before the commencement of the Act but does not include a person appointed to a post in a project, programme, project management unit, project management office, time bound (one-time) development activity or as work-charged employee or an employee on daily wages. Regularization means the appointment of an eligible contract employee on regular basis in accordance with the Act.

THE CIVIL SERVANTS (APPOINTMENT, PROMOTION AND TRANSFER) RULES, 1973 (FEDERAL GOVERNMENT) — Appointing Authority in relation to a post means the person authorized under Rule 6 to make appointment to that post. Selection Board means a Board constituted by the Federal Government, for the purpose of selection for promotion or transfer to posts in basic pay scales 19 to 21 and equivalent, consisting of such persons as may be appointed by Government from time to time. Departmental Promotion committee means a Committee constituted for the purpose of making selection for promotion or transfer to posts under a Ministry, Division, Department or Office of the Federal Government in Basic Pay Scales 18 and below and equivalent. Promotions and transfer to posts in basic pay scales 2 to 18 and equivalent shall be made on the recommendation of the appropriate Departmental Promotion Committee and promotions and transfer to posts in basic pay scales 19 to 21 and equivalent shall be made on the recommendation of the Selection Boards.

TRAVELLING ALLOWANCE (T.A) RULES (KHYBER PAKHTUNKHWA GOVERNMENT) — T.A means an allowance granted to cover the expenses incurred in traveling in the interest of Public Service. T.A. is allowed for tour, transfer, to join a first appointment, retirement, suspension, dismissal death or termination of employment, course of training, appearing in an examination, to give evidence in a court or to attend an inquiry or conference, to obtain or furnish medical advice or treatment, to attend a Darbar or an official function and any other purpose authorized by a Competent Authority. A civil servant is on tour when he is absent on duty from his headquarters either within or, with proper sanction, beyond his sphere of duty.

THE SINDH CIVIL SERVANTS (APPOINTMENT, PROMOTION AND TRANSFER) RULES, 1974 –– The method of appointment and the qualification and other conditions applicable to a post shall be as laid down by the Department concerned in consultation with the services and General Administration Department. Appointments by promotion or Transfer to posts in BS-01 & BS-02 shall be made by the Appointing Authority on merit. Appointments by promotion or Transfer to posts in BS-03 to BS-18 without special pay other than the posts for which Provincial Selection Board has been constituted under Rule 6-A, shall be made on the recommendations of the appropriate Departmental Promotion Committee. Appointments by promotion or Transfer to posts in BS-18 special pay and above and the posts notified under Rule 6-A, shall be made on the recommendations of the appropriate Provincial Selection Board.

THE PUNJAB LOCAL GOVERNMENT SERVICE (APPOINTMENT AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE) RULES, 2018 –– There shall be a Service to be called as the Local Governments Service for the members but shall not include the employees of the Union Councils and District Authorities. The method of recruitment, minimum qualification, age limit and other matters shall be such as are given in the schedule. An initial recruitment to a post shall be made on the basis of examination or test and interview conducted by the Board or such other recruitment agency as approved by the Board, after advertisement of the vacancies in more than one daily national newspaper of wide circulation.

INITIAL APPOINTMENT TO CIVIL POSTS (RELAXATION OF UPPER AGE LIMIT) RULES, 1993 (AS AMENDED UPTO 24-10-2007) – GOVERNMENT OF PAKISTAN, CABINET SECRETARIAT, ESTABLISHMENT DIVISION – Where a candidate is entitled to age relaxation under more than one categories specified in the rules , he shall be allowed relaxation in age only in one category. The relaxation in upper age limit shall be over and above the relaxation of age admissible to candidates specified in the rules  or in any other rules for the time being in force.

THE SINDH CIVIL SERVANTS (PROBATION, CONFIRMATION AND SENIORITY) RULES, 1975 – A person appointed to a post by initial recruitment shall be on probation for two years and a person appointed otherwise may, if the Appointing Authority so directs, be on probation for one year. Confirmation of a civil servant shall be made in the order to seniority in a permanent post to which no other civil servant holds any lien. In each cadre in a department, there shall be a separate seniority list of a group of civil servants doing similar duties and performing similar functions and for whose appointment, same qualifications and experience have been laid down.
