COMPULSORY RETIREMENT (PUNJAB GOVERNMENT) – Retiring Pension is granted to a Government Servant, who not being eligible for Superannuation Pension, opts to retire after 25 years qualifying service or such less time as may for any special class of Government Servant be prescribed or is compulsorily retired, by the competent authority, after 20 years qualifying service. The pensionary benefits are not allowed to a Government Servant who is compulsory retired before completing a period of 20 years qualifying service.

WEST PAKISTAN GOVERNMENT SERVANTS (MEDICAL ATTENDANCE) RULES, 1959 AND NOTIFICATIONS ABOUT MEDICAL REIMBURSEMENT (PUNJAB GOVERNMENT) — A Government Servant can undergo medical treatment for reimbursement of medical charges from a Hospital. Hospital means a Government Hospital, a Government dispensary, a Government Dental Hospital, a hospital maintained by a local authority and any other hospital with which arrangements have been made by Government for the treatment of its employees. Parents of Government Servant are included in the family for the purpose of medical treatment if they are residing with and dependent on the Government Servant.

THE PUNJAB LOCAL GOVERNMENTS (AUCTIONING OF COLLECTION RIGHTS) RULES, 2016 — They shall come into force at once. Subject to sub-rule (2), a Local government may award contract, assign right to collect income on its behalf, to the contractor for the next or current financial year. A Local Government shall not award contract for granting right to collect income from water rate, building fee, tax on transfer of immovable property, conversion of land use fee, sanitation fee, licence fee and lighting rate; or the income from the demand raised against a specific person and the arrears of which are carried forward.

OPTION FOR RE-FIXATION OF PAY (PUNJAB GOVERNMENT) — If a civil servant before reaching the maximum of a Revised National Pay Scale is promoted to a higher pay scale between the 2nd June and the 30th November of a calendar year and his initial pay in the latter scale is fixed with reference to his pay in the former scale, he may, at his option get his pay re-fixed in the higher scale with effect from the 1st day of December of the year of his promotion with reference to his presumptive pay on that date in his Pre- Promotion Scale.

THE REVISED LEAVE RULES, 1981 (PUNJAB GOVERNMENT) — They shall come into force at once. All service rendered by a civil servant qualifies him to earn leave in accordance with these rules but shall not be earned during the period of leave. Any period spent by a civil servant in Foreign Service qualifies him to earn leave provided that contribution towards leave salary is paid to the Government on account of such period.
