Karnataka Institute Of Cricket – Karnataka Institute Of Cricket (KIOC) has started operations at its new cricket training campus in Ulsoor, Bangalore. The new academy was inaugurated by many cricket celebrities and KIOC students. KIOC is one of the best cricket coaching academy in Bangalore. Mithali Raj inaugurated the event in the presence of  Veda Krishnamurthy, Robin Uthappa, C.M. Gautam, Nooshin Al Khadeer, Karuna Jain, and V.R. Vanitha and other dignitaries. Karnataka State Cricket Association assistant secretary (Cricket) Santosh Menon was also present on the occasion.

Veda Krishnamurthy started his professional cricket career from KIOC. KIOC was not very green when he started playing cricket at KIOC. He thanked Irfan Sait for being there for him when he needed him. Irfan’s support is one of the reasons that makes his career successful.

KIOC’s new facilities include bowling machines, indoor nets, outdoor nets,  PitchVision Video Analysis System, hostel for coaches outside the station, daily yoga,  Physiotherapy and psychology classes, specialized coaches and international standard facilities.

The Karnataka Institute of Cricket (KIOC), which has produced many international and national stars over the years, is set for a new beginning. The academy’s sprawling new campus, at the RBANMS Ground, was inaugurated with much fanfare on Sunday.

The facility has an indoor net, 32 outdoor nets, field practice area, consultation room, gymnasium, and more. Many cricketers honed their skills at KIOC, including Indian women’s team captain Mithali Raj, Veda Krishnamurthy, Robin Uthappa, C.M. Gautam, Nooshin Al Khadeer, Karuna Jain, and V.R. Vanitha, attended the event. Karnataka State Cricket Association assistant secretary (Cricket) Santosh Menon was also present.

“Irfan Sait (KIOC director) has always been a big supporter of women’s cricket. When I was in Bengaluru, I coached here,” said Mithali.

Former India women’s international Mamatha Maben said, “When I started playing cricket, I attended another academy. But I used to bat only once a week, and that too after the men’s training. I decided to transfer to KIOC, where I was accepted. My career began after that”.

Uthappa addressed a large audience of eager children. “I want you all to use this facility. Believe in yourself, work hard, and don’t be discouraged by people who doubt your ambitions,” he said.
