Download THE PUNJAB LOCAL GOVERNMENTS (CONDUCT OF ELECTION) RULES, 2013 — They shall come into force at once. Appellate Authority means an appellate authority appointed by the Election Commission. Election Agent means an election agent appointed by a candidate under these rules and, where no such appointment is made, the candidate acting as his own election agent. Electoral Roll means electoral rolls prepared, adapted or adopted under section 21 of the Act. The Government or an officer authorised by it in this behalf, on the request of the Election Commission or an officer appointed or authorized by it under the Act or the rules, may by an order in writing, requisition any vehicle, vessel or animal as is needed or is likely to be needed for purposes of transporting to and from any polling station, ballot boxes, election material, ballot papers or any officer or a person engaged for the performance of any duties in connection with the elections.
